Application Form for Kolkata Police recruitment 2012 is invited for the appointment to the post of Constable/Lady Constable in Kolkata Police through “Employment Notice No. 01/2012/KPRB.”

Kolkata Police Recruitment 2012 Details:

There are total 2550 vacancies (2500 for Constable and 50 for Lady Constable) including reserved categories e. g. – ST/SC/OBC/Ex-Servicemen and Home Guards for the Constables in Kolkata Police.

Kolkata Police Recruitment 2012 Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Applicants must have a degree of Madhyamik Examination under W.B.B.S.E or equivalent to apply for Kolkata Police Constables recruitment 2012.

Age Limit:

Minimum age should be 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 1st January, 2012 to apply for Kolkata Police Constables recruitment 2012. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years and OBC 3 years in upper age limit.

Physical Eligibility for Constable:

• Minimum Height – 167 cms
• Minimum Chest – 78 cms
• Minimum Weight – Proportionate to height and age as per Medical standard

Physical Eligibility for Lady Constable:

• Minimum Height – 160 cms

Kolkata Police Constable Recruitment Method:

Selection of a candidate will be made on the basis of Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test and Medical Examination.

Qualifying Standard:

For Constable: candidates have to qualify in run of 1600 mts. in just 6 minutes and 30 seconds.

For Lady Constable: applicants have to qualify in run of 400 mts. in just 2 minutes.

Qualified candidates in physical measurement test and PET will be called for written test. Objective types of questions from Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Basic English, Elementary Mathematics and Analytical Aptitude will be asked in written test of Kolkata Police Constables recruitment 2012.

Kolkata Police Recruitment Exam Fee:

Candidates have to pay Rs. 150 through Postal Order or Demand Draft in favour of “Kolkata Police Recruitment Board” payable in Kolkata. SC/ST candidates are exempted from examination fee.
